The Official 2010 NFL Mock Draft Part Two

21310649995_indcolts.jpgOkay guys so here we have the second part of my 2010 NFL mock draft. At the bottom of the page is a link to the third and final part as well. I know this is very defensive player heavy but that is the nature of this draft class and general managers around the league are starting to look more to that side of the ball to stop guys like Peyton Manning, Drew Brees and Tom Brady. So enough of the small talk let’s get into the picks.

12. Miami Dolphins – DE Jason Pierre-Paul13. San Francisco 49ers – CB Joe Haden14. Seattle Seahawks – OT Anthony Davis15. New York Giants – DE Derrick Morgan16. Tennessee Titans – DE Brandon Graham17. San Francisco 49ers – S Taylor Mays 18. Pittsburgh Steelers – LB Rolando McClain19. Atlanta Falcons – LB Sean Weatherspoon 20. Houston Texas – CB Kyle Wilson21. Cincinnati Bengals – S Earl Thomas22. New England Patriots – DE Jared Odrick
So in this group we start to see a good portion of the mid-level linebackers and defensive ends start to come off the board. There are gonna be some great picks in this range as teams like the Steelers will end up with a great player like a Rolando McClain or Kyle Wilson. Some of these players are risky but they have a ton of potential and that is the key to the draft.
I don’t know if the 49ers would take two defensive backs with those picks but Joe Haden and Taylor Mays both have a world of potential and are good value at those spots. Supposedly the Tennessee Titans really like Sergio Kindle but he would be a little bit of a reach according to where most scouts have him ranked on the boards. I think somebody like Brandon Graham makes a little more sense because he is better against the run. There are many of these players that can be switched around depending on what teams think of them after the pro days. There is also the possibility of some draft day trades for many of the teams in this range.
As you can probably tell this rash of defensive players coming off the board will likely lead to a ton of quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers being taken in the 2nd round. Some of these teams will get some good value in the draft at certain positions. I want those of you reading at home to comment on the 2010 NFL mock draft and let me know what you think of my picks. Also feel free to post your own as well so we can all look at them in comparison.
